​What is the TSI?
The TSI is the Texas Success Initiative Assessment that determines if the student is college ready!  It consists of 3 sections: Reading, Writing and Math. This assessment needs to be taken by every student who plans on going to college/university in the state of Texas. It is not an exam to gain entrance into college/university but rather to determine if the student will need additional support to be successful in the college/university level curriculum. If a passing score is not obtained remedial classes will be provided. 
 
How to obtain your TSI Scores: (You should have received an email after you took the test but if you can't find it follow these steps.)
  1. Log into Studentportal.accuplacer.org
  2. Enter the information on "Find your Test Results"
  3. On Student Institution enter "Hays CISD" (If you took the test at Hays CISD schools)
  4. Click "Search"
  5. Scroll down and click on Send Report (Report will be sent to the email that is on file)​​

The SAT/ACT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. The SAT/ACT measures a high school student's readiness for college.
