TSI (Texas Success Initiative)
What is the TSI?
The TSI is the Texas Success Initiative Assessment that determines if the student is college ready! It consists of 3 sections: Reading, Writing and Math. This assessment needs to be taken by every student who plans on going to college/university in the state of Texas. It is not an exam to gain entrance into college/university but rather to determine if the student will need additional support to be successful in the college/university level curriculum. If a passing score is not obtained remedial classes will be provided.
Passing Scores:
Scores BEFORE January 2021
Reading 351
Writing 340 and 4+ on essay
Math 350
Scores AFTER January 2021
ELAR: 945-990 plus 5 on Essay or under 945 with a Diagnostic Score of 5-6 and 5 on Essay
Math: 950-990 or Below 950 with Diagnostic test score of 6

- Log into Studentportal.accuplacer.org
- Enter the information on "Find your Test Results"
- On Student Institution enter "Hays CISD" (If you took the test at Hays CISD schools)
- Click "Search"
- Scroll down and click on Send Report (Report will be sent to the email that is on file)
